More than 23 years of professional experience in the area of Intellectual Property and strategic legal consulting.
Specialized in formal and substantive examination and resolution of trademark refusals on absolute and relative grounds. Designed the Trademark Refusal System at IMPI (currently in use and winner of the INNOVA 2004 award).
Expert in strategic advice, prosecution and defense of trademarks. Searches and analysis of registrability, Nice Classification, prosecution, oppositions (including management of cease and desist letters with infringement grounds and estimates of notoriety and fame), negotiation of letters of consent and coexistence agreements, contentious proceedings of nullity and expiration, review appeals, nullity and amparo proceedings, ensuring the success of trademark protection.
Experience in in-house and digital due diligence audits, both preliminary and formal, and proposals for fame and notoriety declarations.
Active participant in international rankings: WTR, Leaders Leage, IP Star, Chambers & Partners, Legal 500.
