It’s official: Uruguay formally accedes to the PCT on October 7th, 2024.
With this accession, Uruguay becomes the 158th member country of the PCT, which will enter into force on January 7th. 2025. This is not just another accession; following Chile, Uruguay is the second of the four Southern Cone countries to join this treaty.
