SUMMARY:Workshop with IMM- What and How to Patent? Biotechnological Inventions
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to welcome and host the next RiboMed workshop in partnership with ClarkeModet on “What and How to Patent? Biotechnological Inventions” with Miguel Duarte\, Consultant of Technical Services from ClarkeModet. \nParticipants in this workshop\, will have a first deep dive in the world of patents in the biotech world and learn how their inventions can be protected and licensed. \nInterested participants can meet the speaker in 1 on 1 meetings after the workshop (email us: imm-ribomed@medicina.ulisboa.pt). \n\nFor Maria Carmo-Fonseca\, coordinator of the RiboMed “this workshop is a great opportunity to learn more about the requirements for patenting our inventions\, which is one of the pillars of our Widening project. The partnership with ClarkeModet is a good example of the possible interactions with industries and IP consultants that can be very beneficial for us\, as researchers”. \nAs for Miguel Duarte\, IP Consultant and Portuguese Patent Attorney at ClarkeModet\, “the biotech industry is in constant evolution and\, with it\, so are the patent systems worldwide. Therefore\, it is part of our mission at ClarkeModet to assist researchers understanding how to protect their innovative findings and technologies in order to generate greater value from their research projects. It is with great pleasure that we now consolidate this partnership with IMM\, as we believe that Industrial Property should represent a crucial role in any R&D strategy.” \n\nTo get connected and watch this webinar on Zoom click the following link.
