Our strength is the combination of a global view with deep local knowledge and a extensive service portfolio that adapts to our clients´ needs in a constantly changing market. | A Global Company from its Beginings | Clarke y Cía and la Agencia General de Patentes y Marcas were established in Madrid in 1879. In 1892 they merged to create Clarke, Modet & Cº brand. The first subsidiary opened in Argentina in 1962, and was soon followed by the openings of the Brazilian (Rio de Janeiro in 1965), Portuguese (Lisbon in 1965), Mexican (Mexico D.F.) and Venezuelan (Caracas in 1968), companies respectively.
In the 1990s, Clarke, Modet & Cº Colombia, (Bogota), Clarke, Modet & Cº Chile (Santiago) and the office in Sao Paulo (Brazil) were set up. The geographical expansion was completed in 2000 with the opening of Clarke, Modet & Cº Peru (Lima) as well as offices in Monterrey (Mexico), Córdoba (Argentina), Oporto (Portugal) and Medellín (Colombia). In year 2008 Escobar Uribe Asociados was acquired and Clarke, Modet & Cº Colombia became one of the countrys leading intellectual property companies.
